Avalon Basketball Association is a youth basketball organization based out the east end of St. John’s, Newfoundland from ages 4-18!

  • Our Junior Hoops program is for boys and girls beginning in Pre K - Grade 1 who are looking to learn the game at a young age, meet new friends, and have fun!

  • Beginning in Grade 2, and continuing until Grade 12 - our club academy allows athletes to be placed on a team, practice 1-3 times per week and play games with the Avalon Basketball club.

  • U8: Grade Pre K-2

    Basic Junior Hoops programs for athletes looking to learn the basics of basketball at a young age.

  • U10: Grade 2-4

    Programs for athletes in Grade 2-4 that are looking to begin their basketball journey with practice and game sessions.

  • U12: Grade 5-6

    Programs for athletes in Grade 5-6 that are looking to work on their skills and play games at a consistent basis.

  • U14: Grade 7-8

    Programs for athletes in Grade 7-8 that are looking to take their skills to the next level by practicing and playing games.

  • U16: Grade 9-10

    Programs for athletes in Grade 9-10 that are looking to play and train at a high level with games and practices.

Our Players

Our basketball players are the key members of Avalon Basketball, coming from diverse schools, backgrounds, and areas across the province. We welcome athletes of all ages, watching them unite to represent Avalon, fall in love with the sport, and improve their skills each day.

Our Coaches
